A VERY GOOD TIP! If you are using or shopping for DSL ask for "dry DSL" (a.k.a. naked DSL or standalone DSL). Dry DSL is simply a fast internet connection without an expensive landline phone service attached to it. Most providers don't tell you about it because they want customers to buy the bundled packages. The service, however, is available by most DSL providers, including Qwest, Verizon, and AT&T. If the customer service rep gives you a hard time ask for a supervisor. The combination of dry DSL and voip gives you the most affordable solution for internet connection and phone service.
